The Legaz Team was created in 1994 as Nancy became a licensed real estate salesperson. Inspired by her success, David joined her a year later. Together, they developed and grew their real estate practice, becoming one of the top teams in the New York City & Long Island, selling a home every 5 days where honesty and integrity remain their core principle.
The Legaz Team believes that every transaction must be a Win-Win! Nancy and David have built a team of like-minded associates which include 4 buyers agents, 1 showing agent, a virtual assistant and a Director of Operations; all of whom share the same goal and philosophy in servicing our valued clients.

David Legaz, Real Estate Broker
David had a successful career as one of New York's Finest, retiring as a Sergeant in 2002 after responding to the 9/11 World Trade Center tragedy and losing his partner.
David then directed his focus and energy fully into real estate. He implemented technology systems, created websites that enhanced the selling and buying process that built trust, confidence, and positive results for their clients. This technology continues to evolve with Keller Williams® Realty with the goal of delivering the best consumer experience.
With his passion for real estate and his 2 decades of law enforcement, David soon realized the need to teach real estate professionals how to protect themselves while showing properties. David also co-authored a safety book named, “Safe Selling: A Practical Guide for Preventing Crime without Sacrificing the Sale” which helps agents and their clients.
David is the 2020 NYS Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) President-Elect and was the 2017 Long Island Board of REALTORS® President and their REALTOR® of the Year in 2014. David has been a NAR Director since 2013 and a NYSAR Director since 2012.
Nancy Legaz, Associate Real Estate Broker
Nancy Legaz, the founder of the Legaz Team, began her real estate career in 1994. Born and raised in Long Island City and a Whitestone resident for many years, she has a true pulse and affinity to Queens and Manhattan real estate.
She majored in Marketing at St. John's University and was previously employed by ABC-TV, Disney and MTV Networks as a manager in the Marketing and Research Department. Nancy brings this strong marketing sales experience to the Legaz Team.
As an Accredited Staging Professional, Nancy offers clients her expertise in getting their homes ready to sell and maximizing its best potential. Nancy’s ultimate commitment to her clients has developed a decade of strong repeat and referral business.
Nancy believes that once a relationship is formed it transcends a lifetime and wants to be your REALTOR® for life!
Carol Vigorito, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
Carol Vigorito is a lifelong resident of Northeast Queens area. She was drawn to a career in real estate after her own personal experience in buying and selling properties. Carol is detail-oriented and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the buying/selling experience. She is dedicated to bringing a level of service that results in trust and repeat and referral business. Her goal is to provide knowledge and information as she ultimately "matches" her client with the perfect property. Communication is key and Carol is routinely complimented on her high level of follow up skills. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding and spending time with family.
Karolina Slupinska, Associate Real Estate Broker
As a buyer specialist & Accredited Buyer Representative began her Real Estate career in 2005. She has a Marketing & Management degree from Baruch College and several years of experience in Office Management, Interior Design, and Home Staging.
With a strong passion for art, technology, her kind nature, and a positive attitude, Karolina was a perfect match for the Legaz Team. Karolina is also an Accredited Staging Professional who provides clarity to a buyer with her enhanced creative vision and home functionality. Karolina is also very experienced and working knowledge of the flip and fix the market and can guide you through those hurdles.
Carl Caridi, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
Now living in Middle Village, Carl Caridi is originally from Sunnyside, Queens. His early years educated at St. Teresa Catholic School in Woodside and his love for sports-inspired him to give back to the community. Carl volunteered as a local youth basketball and baseball coach, running teen centers, coordinating summer basketball camps and outdoor leagues.
Carl graduated St. Francis Prep High School, also studied at St. John’s University and Queensboro Community College while finding the time to become a certified sports official for the CHSAA and PSAL in both baseball and basketball.
Carl acquired his real estate license in 2014 and immediately reached out to Nancy & David Legaz where he brought his property management experience and now specializes in the sales of cooperatives and residential properties.
Qianqian (Emily) Chen, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
Emily is a second-generation immigrant that was raised in a small town in China. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economic Studies from Queens College. Emily obtained her real estate license while in college and upon graduation, her desire to grow her practice was sparked as she assisted a close friend in her purchase.
Her passion for learning leads her to join Keller Williams Realty Landmark where education, culture, and sharing of best practices are paramount.
Emily’s clients rave about her genuine ability to connect with them and look out for their best interests. Emily fluently speaks English, Mandarin, and Fujianese.
